Shoe Box Appeal 2026

We are once again supporting the Blythswood 'Shoe Box appeal' this year. The completed boxes go to Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kosovo, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine.
We need your help by either filling a shoe box or donating items for filling the boxes. It might be that you would like to give a monetary gift towards the cost of transporting the boxes as well - please follow the link below this message to find out how.
There are leaflets at the back of the church which describe in detail how to fill a box and you will see that every box has to have a toothbrush and paste, a bar of soap, underwear, socks/tights, scarf, hat and gloves, a toy or a gift and sweets (but not chocolate).
Within the leaflet are suggestions for other things that can be given. Boxes can be prepared for both children and adults.

Many of you have already given medium sized shoeboxes but more will be needed. Christmas wrapping paper is also required to allow us to decorate extra boxes.
Last year our church was able to send 79 boxes so it would be good if we can do the same - or better - this year.
