KK group - Sundays @ CPBC

(Alternate Sundays)

The KK Youth Group runs on alternate Sunday evenings from 6:30 pm until 7:45 pm. It is a time of Christian fun, fellowship and development for Young people between 11 & 16 years. A typical meeting will include an activity with a Christian meaning or message which is revealed at the conclusion of the activity. Members are encouraged to discuss, question and understand the message in a relevant way. The aim of this is to bring the word of God into everyday occasions in their lives.

Most meetings include indoor activities which include pool, badminton, table tennis, game console, music and DVD’s. Outdoor events take place during warmer weather include rounders, treasure hunts and beach games.

Each year the group has enjoyed the fellowship of a weekend away at either Dartmouth or Swindon, with fun filled activity days and challenging evening activities back at local Churches where we stay overnight. The group then participates in the local Sunday morning Church Service.

Clarence Park Baptist Church now has a minibus, which will be used in 2011 to increase the numbers of outside activities and visits.

Members of 14 and over are encouraged to attend the After 8 Club which follows KK meetings - Have a look at their link!

All adult helpers are CRB checked and have recently attended Child, Young Person and Vulnerable Adults safeguarding training as volunteer workers.

The KK youth group is free to attend. Parents / Carers must however, provide transport to and from Church. The KK meet at the same time as the Church evening service, so parents / carers are invited to sit in with the Church Service and receive a warm welcome there.

At KK we aim to help the young people grow in their Faith and encourage active participation of their Church life.
